SECURITIES BACK-OFFICE MIGRATION TO SOPHIS RISQUE

Our client, a major investment bank, has decided to migrate its securities back office from a proprietary system to SOPHIS RISQUE, which they are already using for their front office. At the same time, as the project also has an operational phase, securities have to be transferred from one depositary to another.

ITHAQUE is acting as the project sponsor. ITHAQUE consultant’s mission consists in coordinating technical and operational balance, and in ensuring the follow-up and corrective support of lots which are already being produced. This type of mission requires a good knowledge of the securities back office field, in order to be able to talk to users and depositaries; technical skills to talk to project engineers and communication skills.

CREATION OF A TOOL TO CONSOLIDATE LENDING SECURITIES POSITIONS

This mission for an important securities depositary consists in designing and producing a consolidation tool which will give the securities lending desk traders a vision of how many portfolio lending securities their clients are holding. This tool has to centralize information gathered from several information systems, while taking into account the rules that the clients have specified for the loan of their securities.

On the project team, the role of the ITHAQUE's consultant is to make sure that the project can be carried out to the end while respecting level 2 CMMI certification for quality and methodology. This methodological context is all the more important for the project since the tool was developed in-house.
